Chandler Strawberries

Nothing says Happy May like the Strawberry patch.  All over the south, strawberries are ripe!  

We had a blast comparing varieties yesterday at

 Wagner Berry Farm, south of Nashville. 

  I think our favorite type is the Chandler Strawberry, which my son says taste like strawberry jam (he's right!!!).  

If you don't grow strawberries, it's well worth the fun (and flavor) to visit a local berry patch, for obvious reasons (because picking them is so fun).  And, since strawberries are ranked among the top ten antioxidant rich foods among all fruits and veggies they're also incredibly good for you!!
